A man is facing multiple charges after being found in possession of multiple cans of bear spray last night.

On June 23, 2026 at around 1:20 a.m. while conducting patrols in the 2000 block of Avenue B North, officers were flagged down by an individual saying a male had bear spray.

Officers located the male who began to run away from police before pulling out a can of bear spray and pointing it at officers. The man continued to flee from police before being arrested shortly after.

A search of his person resulted in police locating and seizing two cans of bear spray.

The 18-year-old man has been charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (x2) and Carrying a Concealed Weapon (x2).
