Charges Laid - Evade Police - 12th Street East And Wiggins Avenue

Two people are facing charges following an incident where a vehicle failed to stop for police overnight.

On June 29, 2026 at around 2:10 a.m., members of the Saskatoon Police Service attempted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of 12th Street East and Wiggins Avenue; the vehicle did not stop for police and fled at a high rate of speed. Officers disengaged from the evade police incident but later located the vehicle unoccupied in a parkade in the 100 block of hospital drive.

Through investigation, officers were able to view video surveillance of the suspects entering a cab. Police then attended to the location where the cab dropped the suspects off where two women and one man were arrested without further incident. It was also found that the man was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breaching statutory release.

As a result, a 33-year-old woman has been charged with Breaching Court-Imposed Conditions. A 31-year-old man has been charged with Dangerous Driving and Evading Police. The second woman was released without charges.
