One man is facing multiple charges following an assault at a residence on Saturday night.

At around 8:20 p.m. on June 27, 2026, police were called to the 600 block of 4th Avenue North for a report of an injured person. Initial information outlined that a woman had been assaulted at a residence. It was reported that the suspects were still inside the residence and a firearm was involved.

Officers arrived on scene and observed a 23-year-old woman receiving medical care by paramedics. Police set up a perimeter around the residence and members of the Tactical Support Unit (TSU) were called to assist; the male suspect was arrested without further incident a short time later.

Through investigation, officers learned the victims and suspects were together inside the house when a physical altercation occurred and the man threatened the victim. The victim was able to exit the residence and call for police assistance. No firearm was located.

The victim and suspects are known to each other.

As a result, a 25-year-old man has been charged with Assault, Assault by Choking, Suffocating or Strangling, Uttering Threats, and Breaching Court-Imposed Conditions.
