Members of the SPS Major Crime Section are investigating the city’s first homicide of 2026.

At approximately 5:30 a.m., February 3, 2026, Police received a report that two men, both 25 years of age, were at St. Paul’s Hospital seeking treatment for stab wound injuries. One man succumbed to his injuries while the other is in stable condition.
