A 15-year-old boy is facing charges following a report of a stabbing yesterday

At approximately 10:00 pm on July 9, 2026, the Saskatoon Police responded to a report of a man who had been stabbed close to a business on the 1700 block of Preston Ave N.

The 41-year-old victim was found on scene with non-life-threatening injuries.

Responding officers searched the area for a suspect who was described to be wearing a blue hoodie, jeans, white shoes, blue/white hat and bag. Police quickly located a male matching the description. He was found in possession of 37 Gabapentin pills at the time of arrest.

A search of the area by the SPS Canine unit located a knife nearby.

The 15-year-old has been charged with the Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and Breach of Probation (x2).
