One male youth is facing numerous charges following a bear spray incident Friday night.

On July 10, 2026 at around 8:30 p.m., police were called to the area of 19th Street and Avenue P South for a weapons call where it was reported that a male had bear spray.

Officers arrived on scene and located a male matching the suspect description shortly after. He was arrested without further incident. Police searched the male during the arrest and located two cans of bear spray.

Through their investigation, officers learned the suspect had threatened multiple people with bear spray. Two witnesses heard the disturbance and intervened before the suspect then discharged bear spray at them.

The 17-year-old male youth has been charged with Possession of a Weapon (x2), Carrying Concealed Weapon (x2) and Assault with a Weapon (x2).
