Charged Laid - Stolen City Of Saskatoon Truck - 35th Street East And Ontario Avenue

A man has been arrested following an incident where a City of Saskatoon truck was stolen and driven outside the city on Monday.

On July 20, 2026 at approximately 2:25 p.m., police were called to the area of 36th Street East and Ontario Avenue for a report of a stolen vehicle in progress. Further updates outlined the stolen vehicle was a City of Saskatoon truck.

Through investigation, officers were able to track the vehicle and found it was travelling westbound outside city limits on Beam Road. Members of the SPS Air Support Unit began to monitor the truck as it eventually stopped in the area of Beam Road and Range Road 3070 where the driver exited the truck and began to run away.

ASU monitored the suspect as he was observed on foot attempting to enter a house, however, he was not successful. ASU directed ground units to the suspects location where he was arrested without further incident.

As the truck had left city limits, members of the Saskatchewan RCMP, Corman Park Police Service and the RM of Vanscoy Police Service also assisted in this investigation.

As a result, the 44-year-old man has been charged with Dangerous Driving and Theft of a Motor Vehicle.
