Two women and a man are facing charges following an incident in which the occupants of a stolen vehicle evaded police.
At approximately 3:30 a.m., July 22, 2026, officers on patrol spotted a Jeep Cherokee that had been reported stolen. It was travelling in the area of 22nd Street and Avenue P. They attempted a traffic stop, however the suspects refused and fled, proceeding from the 22nd Street to 33rd Street areas. A tire deflation device was successfully deployed. Despite two tires being deflated the suspects continued to travel north, out of the city on Highway 11. Members of the RCMP were able to assist, taking three suspects into custody near Hepburn, Saskatchewan after they had attempted to flee on foot.
A 35 year old woman is facing charges of Dangerous Driving, Evading Police, Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000 and Breach of Court-Imposed Conditions.
A 33 year old woman is facing a charge of Breach of Court Conditions.
A 48 year old man is charged with Evading Police, Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000 and Dangerous Driving. He was also found to be unlawfully at large.
