A 65 year old Saskatoon man is facing charges following an investigation by the SPS Sex Crimes Unit.

On January 3, 2026, Police were contacted by a 33 year old female who reported being unlawfully confined and possibly sexually assaulted after being picked up by a taxi. Investigators determined that while in a vulnerable state the woman was picked up and driven to a number of locations over a four-hour period before being taken to her home.

The 65 year old man is facing charges of Unlawful Confinement and Sexual Assault.
