Saskatoon Police are investigating in relation to a stabbing on Friday afternoon.

On August 7, 2026 at approximately 2:10 p.m., police were called to the area of 22nd Street East and 3rd Avenue South for a report of an injured person. Initial information outlined that a woman that was on a City of Saskatoon Transit bus had been stabbed and the suspect had fled the scene.

Arriving officers located a 28-year-old woman with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a stabbing. She was transported to hospital for further medical treatment.

Through investigation, officers learned that the stabbing occurred in the area of 23rd Street East and 3rd Avenue North. The victim had gotten on the bus after the stabbing occurred.
