A 15-year-old male youth has been arrested and faces numerous firearms related charges following a weapons call on Monday morning.

On August 10, 2026 at around 7:10 a.m., police were dispatched to the 400 block of Central Avenue for a report of a male with a firearm.

Arriving officers eventually located the male inside a residence where he was arrested without further incident shortly after. Police also located and seized a firearm from the room that the suspect was located in.

As a result, the 15-year-old male has been charged with:

• Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations;
• Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized;
• Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number has been Tampered With;
• Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order;
• Assault; and
• Breach of Court-Imposed Conditions.

He is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on August 11, 2026.
