Two people are facing charges following a weapons call resulting in various weapons being seized on Friday night.
On August 14, 2026 at approximately 11:00 p.m., police were dispatched to a weapons complaint in the 500 block of Avenue X South. Call information outlined that a group of people wearing masks had discharged bear spray and that a male was being assaulted.
Officers arrived on scene and located five people matching the suspect descriptions. All of them were arrested without further incident. Officers were not able to locate a victim in relation to this incident.
Upon a further search of one of the males who was arrested, police located a C02 powered firearm, a dagger, and brass knuckles. One of the women arrested was found to be in possession of a knife.
As a result, the 16-year-old male youth has been charged with:
- Carrying a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace (x2);
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon (x3);
- Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order;
- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon; and
- Breach of Cour-tImposed Conditions.
He was also arrested for previous outstanding warrants.

The 21-year-old woman has been charged with:
- Carrying a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace;
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon;
- Personating with Intent; and
- Breach of Court-Imposed Conditions.

Both were scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Monday August 17, 2026.
