A male youth is facing multiple weapons related charges in relation to a call for service involving a knife on Friday.

At around 2:35 p.m. on August 14, 2026, police received a report of a male with a knife in his pocket in the area of 22nd Street East and 3rd Avenue South.

Responding officers were able to locate a male matching the suspect description in the area of Pacific Avenue and 23rd Street where he was observed attempting to discard the knife. He was arrested without further incident and the knife was located and seized by police.

As a result, the 17-year-old male youth has been charged with Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Breaching Court-Imposed Conditions.
