Arrests - Attempted Theft / Assault P.O. - 200 Block Marquis Drive

Two men were arrested following a report of a theft-in-progress early this morning.

At around 3:30 a.m. on February 6, 2026, police were called to the 200 block of Marquis Drive for a report of an individual cutting a catalytic converter from a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers observed a man beneath a vehicle; as officers approached his location in their vehicle, the man retreated to a truck and proceeded to ram the police vehicle in an attempt to flee before getting stuck in a snow bank. Officers then exited their vehicle and proceeded with removing two occupants from the truck; during which, a police service dog was deployed. The driver of the truck was later treated for injuries consistent with a dog bite.

As a result, a 40-year-old man has been charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, resisting arrest, mischief under $5000, possession of stolen property under $5000, attempted theft under $5000, assaulting a police officer with a weapon, and failing to comply with court-imposed conditions. A 45-year-old man has also been charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace and resisting arrest.
