Saskatoon Police are investigating following a shoplifting incident where a security officer was threatened on Thursday.

On September 3, 2026 at around 12:15 p.m., police were called to a business in the 100 block of Primrose Drive for a weapons call where it was reported that there was a male shoplifter with a knife.

Arriving officers learned the suspect was approached by security in the parking lot after leaving the store without paying. A brief altercation began before the suspect threatened to stab the security officer, then ran away.
