A 55 year old woman is being treated in hospital following an assault overnight.

At approximately 1:40 a.m., September 16, 2026, Police received a report of a disturbance outside an apartment building in the 500 block of 24th Street East. Upon arrival they located a woman suffering from what appeared to be serious injury. They also located the 69 year old suspect nearby. He was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

The man is now facing charges of Aggravated Assault, Breach of Probation and Possession of Methamphetamine.
