Arrests - Stolen Vehicles / Evade Police Incidents

Multiple people were arrested following two unrelated evade police incidents overnight.

At around 11:00 p.m. on September 16, 2026, police observed a vehicle known to be reported as stolen in the area of Rusholme Road and Avenue S North. Upon attempting a traffic stop, the vehicle began to evade at a high rate of speed. A tire deflation device was successfully deployed; ultimately bringing the vehicle to a stop on Palliser Court. The driver of the vehicle was arrested without further incident.

As a result, a 29-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with Evading Police, Dangerous Driving, and Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m. on September 17, 2026, police observed a vehicle believed to be stolen driving in the area of 18th Street West and Avenue X South. As officers were attempting to confirm the license plate of the vehicle, it fled at a high rate of speed. A tire deflation device was successfully deployed near 22nd Street West and Circle Drive; however, the vehicle continued to evade before colliding with a tree and rolling at Milton Street. All three occupants were arrested without further incident.

As a result, the 28-year-old male driver was charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000, Dangerous Driving, Evading Police, and Failure to Comply with Court-Imposed Conditions. He was also wanted on three criminal code warrants. Two passengers, a 35-year-old woman and 36-year-old man, were also charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000.
