The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a Martensville resident with child exploitation related offences.
On September 17, 2026, the Saskatchewan ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a home in Martensville. Electronic devices were examined at scene and also seized by investigators.
As a result of the investigation, 38-year-old Matthew Joseph Wood was arrested and charged on September 17, 2026 with:
- 2 Counts - Possession of Child Abuse and Exploitation Material
- 1 Count - Make Child Abuse and Exploitation Available
- 1 Count - Breach an Order of Prohibition
Wood was previously charged by the Saskatchewan ICE Unit with various child exploitation offences in January 2024. Wood was incarcerated for these offences until his release in May of 2026.
Wood appeared in court for his most recent charges on September 18, 2026 and is being held for his next court date on September 22, 2026 in Saskatoon Provincial Court.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service and Saskatoon Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material.
