One woman was arrested and faces multiple charges following an assault with a weapon Saturday morning.

At around 6:10 a.m. on September 19, 2026, police were dispatched to the 300 block of Montreal Avenue South for a report of an injured person. Initial information outlined that a woman had stabbed a man.

Arriving officers located and arrested a 23-year-old woman. A 31-year-old man was also located and observed to have what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries consistent with an assault with a knife. He was transported to hospital for further medical treatment.

The victim and suspect are believed to be known to each other.

The 23-year-old woman has been charged with Break and Enter, Assault with a Weapon and breach of court-imposed conditions. She was also found to have outstanding warrants for her arrest.
