Two people were arrested following an investigation by the Crime Reduction Team.
Shortly before 8:00 p.m. on September 17, 2026, members of the Crime Reduction Team, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, initiated enforcement action in a drug trafficking investigation with the arrests of two people while at an unrelated business in the 3500 block of 8th Street East. Following their arrests, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 1100 block of 11th Street East. Through investigation, the following evidentiary seizures were made;
- .22 Ruger semi-automatic pistol (loaded)
- 84 rounds of .22 calibre ammunition
- Bear spray
- Machete
- $956.50 CAD
- 14.6 grams of cocaine
- 31.1 grams of methamphetamine
- 75x Dilaudid pills
- 40x Hydromorphone pills
- 3140x illegal cigarettes
As a result, a 35-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with weapons, drugs, and driving offences while a 30-year-old Saskatoon woman has been charged with drug- and weapons-related offences. A 39-year-old man was also arrested during the investigation on an unrelated outstanding warrant.
