Duties:

  1. Coordinates shipping and receiving for all packages and personal mail.  Logs all shipping and arrival information, tracks shipments, reconciles contents of packages to packing slips, and investigates any discrepancies.    Prepares packages for the ordering agency to pick up.  Issues items to end users. 
  2. Data entry, including spreadsheet entry and entry into inventory management computer software.
  3. Organizes and maintains the warehousing area.  Keeps all incoming and outgoing packages organized and filed.  Stocks shelves for Asset Control and Quartermaster Stores inventory.
  4. Responsible for ordering, receiving, unpacking, and distribution of office supplies.
  5. Responsible for receiving, scanning, and filing paperwork, including invoices, packing slips, and purchase orders.
  6. Performs routine inventory counts.
  7. Assists with the barcoding and disposal of Saskatoon Police Service’s assets.
  8. Supports vendors in the placement, relocation, servicing, and repair of furniture and equipment.
  9. Performs routine inspections of first aid kits and re-stocks them as required.
  10. Assists Asset Control Clerk 13 and Asset Control Clerk 8 as required.
  11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a one year business program from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • One year of related experience, including experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated skill operating a computer and its software, including using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of the principles of office management and current office procedures and systems.
  • Physical ability to lift 25 kgs (55 lbs) repetitively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and exercise strong customer service skills.
  • Skilled in the operation of office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain moderately complex records.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and prioritize independently.
  • Ability to pass the Saskatoon Police Service security clearance process and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Salary:

$47,427.84 to $52,288.80 per annum (2026 rates)
