Injured Male Identified - Update

Saskatoon Police Major Crimes continues to investigate the incident involving the injured male that was shot yesterday at approximately 6:45 pm. The identity of the male has been made. He is a 17 year old youth and remains in critical condition.

Police continue to ask anyone that may have information on this incident to contact the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300, and ask to speak to an investigator in Major Crimes or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Saskatoon police responded to a 911 call in the 200 block of Avenue S North this evening at around 6:45 pm.  Upon arrival they found a male injured from a gun shot wound.  The male was transported to hospital and remains in critical condition.  Officers with the Major Crime and Forensic Identification Section were called out and are in the early stages of their investigation. The identity of this male victim is unknown at this time.  He is described as being indigenous, 14-20 years of age, small in stature, black short hair, and wore glasses.

Police are asking anyone that may have information on this incident or who may know the identity of the victim, to contact the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300, and ask to speak to an investigator in Major Crimes or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
