A 31-year-old Saskatoon man is in custody following an evade police incident yesterday.

At approximately 9:00 p.m., March 19, 2020, a patrol member observed a grey Ford Mustang disobey a traffic sign in the 2900 block of Preston Avenue S. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle refused to stop for Police and took off at a high rate of speed. Later, this vehicle was observed driving on Haight Road by members of Patrol and the Air Support Unit (ASU). ASU continued to observe the vehicle and followed it as it continued south out of Saskatoon. The vehicle was followed, by ASU, to a residence in Dundurn and RCMP members were directed to the address where the 31-year-old man was taken into custody without incident.

The man was found to have multiple outstanding warrants from Saskatoon, including Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Breach of a Court Order. He also had numerous outstanding warrants out of Maidstone.
