Saskatoon Police are requesting public assistance in the investigation into a homicide that occurred in the early morning hours on April 13, 2020.
Through investigation, a dark-coloured truck has been identified through surveillance footage as being involved. The truck was parked on Avenue T facing north at the time of the homicide. Witnesses reported to Police that the victim approached the truck when she sustained a gunshot wound. The truck stayed parked for almost one minute after the shooting, and then travelled north toward 22nd Street.

At approximately 3:50 a.m., April 13, 2020, an injured 19-year-old woman was located near the intersection of Avenue T and 21st Street. She was transported to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The victim has since been identified as 19-year-old Tanya Alcrow.

The Saskatoon Police Major Crime Section are now ruling their investigation into this morning's suspicious death as a homicide and confirm that the female victim had been shot.
Saskatoon Police and Medavie Health Services received a 911 call of an injured female this morning, April 13th, 2020, at approximately 3:40 am., near the intersection of Avenue T and 21st Street. The victim was transported to hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
A 19 year-old woman has been identified as the victim. Her name will not be released at this time.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
The investigation continues, and police are asking for anyone with information on this incident to contact Saskatoon Police at 306-975-8300 and request to speak to a Major Crimes investigator, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
