A 38 year old male is in custody and charged with aggravated assault and breach of release order.
At approximately 5:17 p.m. May 2, 2020, Police received a call of an unknown problem in the areas of 1st Street and Broadway Ave. When police arrived they located an adult male victim who was suffering from injuries from a machete. He has been transported to the hospital and in stable condition.
The suspect was identified and located by Police in a residence. He surrendered to the police without incident and was taken into custody.

Saskatoon Police are currently at the scene of a weapons call. Information at this time is that the weapon is not a firearm.
