A 49-year-old man is facing charges after Police were called to an apartment earlier this afternoon.
At approximately 2:30 p.m., May 4, 2020, Police attended to an apartment in the 200 block of Fairmont Drive for a report of an assault. It was also reported that there may be firearms present in the apartment.
A 50-year-old woman was able to exit the apartment through a broken window. She was taken to hospital with what are described as serious but non-life threatening injuries.
A male refused to exit the apartment, and a canine unit assisted in taking him into custody. He was transported to hospital for treatment of a dog bite. He has been charged with Assault.
The investigation is ongoing.
