A woman was arrested early this morning after refusing to stop for Police.
At approximately 12:30 a.m., May 26, 2020, Patrol officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 100 block of Avenue C South. Upon arrival, Police spoke with a resident in the area and a woman. It was reported that the woman, unknown to the resident, had stopped at the home for help with a flat tire. During their conversation, another woman reportedly approached her car on a bicycle, removed a backpack from the car and fled. A verbal altercation took place between the resident and the woman, and Police were then called.
When they arrived, officers located the woman who appeared agitated. As officers were speaking with the resident, the woman fled in her car. Additional responding officers observed the woman driving erratically. The car was abandoned at Avenue C South and Spadina Crescent West and the woman fled into a park. Patrol members located her a short time later in the 300 block of Avenue C South where she was taken into custody.
A 26 year old woman is charged with Dangerous Driving and Evade Police.
