A 40-year-old man has been charged following a physical altercation in a park this past weekend.

Shortly before 2:00 p.m,, May 22, 2020, a 15-year-old boy reported to police that he had been assaulted by a man while riding his bicycle in a park in the 200 block of Primrose Drive. The youth was able to get away to safety, and was not seriously physically injured.

Police were able to identify the suspect early, and as a result of further investigation a warrant was issued for his arrest. Members of the SPS General Investigations Section took the suspect into custody earlier this morning and charged with him Assault. He will appear in Provincial Court on August 13, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. (Court Info #991128919).
