Members of the Serious Assault Unit are investigating a bear spray incident that was reported yesterday.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., June 7, 2020, Patrol officers responded to a hotel in the 3300 block of Fairlight Drive. An employee had reportedly been sprayed with bear spray. Upon arrival, Police located a woman suffering from the effects of bear spray. As officers were investigating, a male approached, who also appeared to have been bear sprayed. Investigations revealed that the 25 year old man had been in a room, when three other males entered. One male exited the room and an altercation occurred, resulting in the man being bear sprayed. A nearby employee was also bear sprayed as the suspects fled.
The first suspect is described as being approximately 18 years old, 5’10” tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black/grey bunnyhug with white Adidas shoes. He was also wearing grey, camouflage pants and a black bandana.
The second suspect is described as being 5’10” tall wearing a striped orange/red sweater. Both suspects were said to have loud music playing as they fled.
