On June 14, 2020, Police were called to a residence in the 400 block of Avenue M North regarding a 39 year old deceased female. At the time, and as a result of the initial investigation the circumstances surrounding her death appeared suspicious in nature.
An autopsy was completed yesterday. Based on the results of this autopsy and further investigation by the Major Crime Section the death is no longer being considered suspicious. The investigation into her death will continue in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
On June 14, 2020 at 12:39 a.m., the Saskatoon Police Service attended to a residence in the 400 Block of Avenue M North for report of a deceased female. On arrival, Patrol officers confirmed that 39 year old female was deceased in her residence.
Members of the Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section and Forensic Investigation Section in cooperation with the Coroners Service are actively investigating this incident.
An autopsy to determine the cause of death has been ordered by the Office of the Chief Coroner.
