Saskatoon Police are investigating after a break and enter and assault took place yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 1:45 p.m., June 17, 2020, it was reported that a male and female unlawfully entered a residence in the 1800 block of 20th Street West armed with mace and a black firearm. They demanded money from the two occupants and began stealing belongings. A physical altercation took place and the female suspect deployed the mace inside the residence and the male suspect discharged the firearm, which turned out to be a BB gun, before fleeing.

A canine track was undertaken but did not yield an apprehension or arrest.

The 40-year-old woman and 28-year-old man inside the residence were not seriously injured.
