Two men are facing charges after breaking in and assaulting an occupant of a motel room yesterday evening.

At approximately 7:00 p.m., June 17, 2020, Police responded to a motel in the 2000 block of Avenue B North after it was reported that three men illegally entered a suite. They assaulted one of the occupants with a baseball bat and stole the phone of a second occupant before fleeing.

The 53-year-old man assaulted with a baseball bat was transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Two men, ages 34 and 48, have been arrested and charged with Break and Enter with Intent to Commit Robbery.

Police are continuing to investigate.
