Saskatoon Police are on scene after a man entered the river a short time ago.
At approximately 10:30 a.m., June 19, 2020, Police communications received a phone call that a man had entered the river near the Gordie Howe Bridge. A river rescue near the Broadway Bridge, involving members of the Saskatoon Police Service and the Saskatoon Fire department, was successful in removing the man from the river. MD Ambulance also attended to scene to treat the man, who has since been transported to hospital.
Police are continuing to investigate.
