The Saskatoon Police Service were called to a robbery at a business in the 100 block of Cree Cr at 5:43 this morning.
A male suspect entered the store and attacked the employee demanding cash. The suspect assaulted the employee who received minor injuries. The employee fled the store and was followed by the suspect. The suspect assaulted the employee again. The suspect returned to the store and tried to obtain money from the cash register but was unsuccessful. The suspect fled the store and was apprehended by Patrol officers responding to the robbery.
The employee was treated at the scene by Medavie Health Service.
A 28 year old man is facing charges of Robbery, Assault with a weapon, Assault and Mischief. He will see a Justice of the Peace later today.
