A man was arrested this morning after being found in possession of numerous weapons.

At approximately 5:40 a.m., June 30, 2020, Patrol officers observed an agitated man walking down the sidewalk carrying a baseball bat and a hatchet. The officers approached the man at 33rd Street West and Valens Drive. He was believed to be under the influence of methamphetamine and refused to put down the weapons. After a brief altercation, the man was arrested. No one was injured. He was found to be concealing another hatchet, a hacksaw, three knives and a hammer.

A 33 year old man was charged with 14 weapon-related offences.
