Two men are facing charges following an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service VICE- Human Trafficking Unit.
At approximately 8 p.m., June 29, 2020, Patrol officers responded to a domestic complaint in the 200 block of Willis Crescent. It was reported that a 23 year old woman had been held in a residence over a period of time. After further investigation, Patrol members contacted the VICE-Human Trafficking Unit to assist. As the whereabouts of the men were not known at the time, warrants were issued.
At approximately 1:00 p.m., on July 2, 2020, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit attended to the 1500 block of Rayner Ave where both men were taken into custody without incident.
A 23 year old Kindersley man is charged with Trafficking Persons, Material Benefit (Trafficking), Uttering Threats (x 2), Theft Under $5000, Breach of Release Order, and Breach of Conditional Sentence Order.
A 30 year old Saskatoon man is charged with Trafficking Persons, Uttering Threats, and Breach of Release Order (x 2).
