A 24 year old woman is in police custody after pointing a firearm early this morning.

At approximately 5:53 a.m. on July 3, 2020, Saskatoon Police Service patrol members were dispatched to a complaint of a female with a weapon, in the 200 Block of Ave R North.

It was reported to Saskatoon Police Service Communications that the female was causing a disturbance, at a residence, and was in possession of a firearm. The tenant inside advised the female that she had the wrong house to which the female proceeded to assault the tenant and point a firearm, before fleeing from the residence. The victim, a 48 year old woman, suffered minor injuries and was not treated on scene.

SPS patrol members arrested the 24 year old Saskatoon woman nearby who was found to be in possession of a CO2 pistol.

The woman is facing charges of Pointing a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon For Dangerous Purpose, Carrying Concealed Weapon, and Assault.
