A 17-year-old male was arrested early this morning after he was found to be breaching his court-imposed conditions.
At approximately 2:15 a.m., July 30, 2020, members of the Guns & Gang Unit observed a man known to have court-imposed conditions walking in the 100 block of 33rd Street West. He was arrested without incident. At the time of his arrest, the youth was carrying two bags, one of which contained a loaded, improvised firearm. A pellet gun was located in the second bag.
The 17-year-old is charged with:
- Careless Use of a Firearm
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Carrying Concealed Weapon
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of Prohibited/Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Prohibited Possession Contrary to Order
- Breach of Conditions
