On August 2 at approximately 1:50 a.m. police were called to a domestic disturbance between a mother and daughter were the Mother indicated that her daughter was experiencing suicidal ideation. When police attended the daughter was carrying a hatchet, and was asked to drop the hatchet several times. When she raised the hatchet to the police a Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) was successfully deployed and she was taken into custody without further incident. No one was injured.

A young female was taken to hospital for a mental health assessment.

No charges at this time.
