Two men have were treated and have since been released from hospital following an incident in which both were stabbed.
At approximately 2:20 a.m., August 22, 2020, Police were called to a report of two men suffering from injuries on a path near Victoria Avenue and Saskatchewan Crescent. Upon arrival, officers located a 39 year old man suffering from a minor injury and a 41 year old man with more serious injuries. Both were transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services.
The men described walking in the area when they were approached by an unknown male on a bicycle. The man asked for a cigarette and, when the victims refused, he produced a knife and assaulted them.
The suspect is reported as being Indigenous, with short hair. He was wearing all dark clothing and riding a light coloured mountain bike.
