One man is facing numerous weapons-related charges following a traffic stop yesterday morning.
At approximately 11:00 a.m., August 24, 2020, Patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle near Albert Avenue and 5th Street East. The male driver was found to be breaching his court-ordered conditions and was subsequently arrested from the vehicle. A machete, a knife, a bow and arrows, ammunition and bear spray were also located and seized from inside. Officers also located numerous identification documents in the man’s wallet, which had previously been reported stolen.
A 46 year old Saskatoon man is charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (x3), Possession of Identity Documents Relating to Another Person, Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 and Breach of Conditions.
