2 male youths are facing a number of charges after attempting to flee from police last night.

Shortly after 10:00p.m. August 29th, 2020, Patrol members observed a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot on Hart Rd. Two people quickly got into the vehicle that was discovered to be stolen and fled from Police. A tire deflation device was used however the pursuit was called off for safety concerns to the public. The vehicle was located in the 1200 block of McNaughton Ave. shortly after. SPS K-9 members assisted and began a track which led to both males being apprehended. The suspects were treated for injuries sustained by dog bites before being transported to Detention.

A 15 year old male is charged with Possession of Stolen Property over $5000.00, Dangerous Driving, Fail to Stop for Police, Weapon Dangerous to the Public, and breaching his court conditions. A 16 year old male is charged with Possession of Stolen Property over $5000.00.
