A woman is facing charges following an altercation yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., September 2, 2020, a member of the SPS Bike Unit was in the 1500 block of 19th Street West when he observed an altercation between three females and saw one female flee on a bicycle. Further investigation found that one of the females was suffering from a stab wound.

Other responding Patrol units located the suspect at the intersection of 17th Street West and Avenue F South. The 30-year-old woman was found to be in possession of two knives and was charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose. (Court Info # 991138515)

The 23-year-old female victim was transported to hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.
