Saskatoon Police are investigating after a man and woman were assaulted earlier this morning.

Shortly before 9:00 a.m., September 8, 2020, a man and woman unlawfully entered a suite at a motel in the 1800 block of Idylwyld Drive North and assaulted the two occupants, a man and a woman. They deployed bear spray before the male victim was able to defend himself with a bladed weapon and the suspects fled on foot.

The victims, a 53-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman, were not seriously injured.

The SPS Serious Assault Unit is continuing to investigate.
