Saskatoon Police have a male in custody following a robbery this afternoon

At approximately 4:45p.m. September 8, 2020, a man entered a business in the 1500 block of Idylwyld Dr. N with what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money. He was attempting to flee the premises when he was tackled, disarmed, and held down by patrons and staff until police arrived.

A 34 year old male has been arrested and charged with Robbery, Using a disguise, Weapons charges, Point Firearm, and Breach of a Court Ordered Prohibition.

The man will be held for Provincial Court on September 9th. The firearm was found to be an airsoft pistol.
