The Saskatoon Police Service have charged a 39 year old man with Arson, following the investigation of an apartment fire that occurred on September 11, 2020 in the 2000 block of 20th Street West.
The Saskatoon man was arrested on September 17, 2020 and is facing charges of Arson-Disregard for Human Life and Breach of Release Order.

Traffic restrictions have been removed.
Several people were rescued from the building. There does not appear to be any serious injuries.
Police are asking the public to stay away from the area while Police and Fire conduct their investigation.
The Saskatoon Police Service, Saskatoon Fire Department and Medavie Health Services are currently at the scene of an apartment fire in the 2000 block of 20 St W.
Traffic is restricted in all directions in that area.
Police are asking motorists to find alternate routes to their destinations and to avoid the area while fire suppression is occurring.
