An autopsy has been conducted on human remains that were found inside a residence in the 400 block of Avenue G South earlier this week.
Further medical testing by the Coroner's Service is necessary before the identity of the deceased can be confirmed.
The investigation is continuing and anyone who may have information regarding this incident is asked to contact Saskatoon Police at 306-975-8300 and ask to speak to an investigator in Major Crimes, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Members of the Saskatoon Police Service, Major Crime Section are currently investigating human remains that were located in a residence in the 400 block of Avenue G South yesterday evening.
Detectives with the Missing Person Unit and Major Crime Section received information that an injured or deceased person may be at an address in the 400 block of Avenue G South.
At approximately 6:00 p.m., at the direction of investigators, members of Patrol, Guns and Gangs Unit and Forensic investigators attended to the 400 block where they located human remains inside of a residence. The Major Crime Section has deemed this a homicide investigation.
The Major Crime and Forensic Identification Sections in cooperation with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service are continuing their investigation. Investigators are working to identify the remains at this time. An autopsy has been ordered by the Coroner Service and is scheduled for Friday.
