Saskatoon Police Patrol officers, Explosives Disposal Unit and members of the Canadian Forces from Dundurn are currently at a residence in the 100 block of 109th Street after what appears to be an old explosive was discovered last night.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., September 23, 2020, a homeowner located what they thought to be an explosive device while excavating their backyard. Initial investigation of the device indicates it to be several years old and inactive, but police have contacted neighbours as a precaution as military members continue to investigate.
The public is asked to avoid the area until further notice.
