Two people are facing charges after a suspicious vehicle was reported to police early this morning.
At approximately 3:30 a.m., September 28, 2020, Patrol officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 500 block of Devonshire Crescent. Upon arrival, officers located a lone male in the driver's seat as well as drug paraphernalia in plain view. As officers were taking the man into custody, during which they found him to be in possession of a taser, a woman approached them and attempted to obstruct officers from effecting the arrest. The woman was then also taken into custody. Further investigation of the vehicle located 63.5 grams of methamphetamine, two knives and other paraphernalia and packaging materials associated to the trafficking of drugs.
A 20-year-old woman is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Obstruction (Court Info # 991140886). The 29-year-old man is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Prohibited Weapon, and Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited Weapon (Court Info # 991140888).
