Saskatoon Police are investigating after a stolen vehicle refused to stop for Police over the weekend.
Shortly before 8:00 p.m., October 2, 2020, a Canine officer observed a brown Toyota Camry leaving a restaurant in the 100 block of 33rd Street West. The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop after observing the vehicle disobey a stop sign, however the driver refused and attempted to evade Police. As the officer discontinued their attempts to stop the vehicle, they observed it strike a vehicle at 36th Street and Avenue D. The officer then saw a person exit the suspect vehicle and flee on foot. After checking to ensure the other occupants of the vehicle that was struck were not injured, the officer attempted a canine track but it did not yield an apprehension or arrest.
The vehicle was also confirmed to have been stolen.
